River Ride and a Temple Visit

We took a walk to the Rose Garden that is in town, next to the amusement park that we went to the 1st couple of days here in town. I think we missed seeing all the roses bloom. Most were already trimmed, but you could just imagine how beautiful it would be during full bloom.

Also this week we were able to meet up with other Foreigners that teach English like us, but they live on the out skirts of Huai'an. We went to on a boat ride down the Grand Canal of China to a Buddhist temple.

Group with our Buddhist host.

At the Temple a worker let us in to look around and at the end gave us some fried noodles and chinese mandarine oranges that are used as offerings to the Buddha. They were excited to have us there and it's a special chance to eat some of the food set apart for Buddha.

We left in the evening and by the time we were coming back it was dark and we were able to see the lights of the city. It was pretty cool looking.

Quite a feast for the eyes along the Grand Canal at night

This is a building that has 4 floors but on the outside it only appears to have 3. Looks pretty cool at night.

As far as the classes go we have started our 3rd week and the kids are great! Here is one of Jami's class all dressed up as they learned clothing and what season it is worn.
