The final stretch

Our time in China is almost at an end. I didn't update the blog last week as there was nothing really to put out. This post will be relatively short. Long story short is that we will be coming home a month early due to Visa issues that our company doesn't want to deal with. So we have to be out of China by July 1st.

This departure date thus changes a lot of our travel plans. Instead of going to Lhasa Tibet in July we are going in 4 days!! The downside of having to move it up is that the Tibet Tourism Bureau will not have Everest Base Camp open until on of June or beginning of July due to the Earthquakes. To me that means that we will get another chance to come back one day.

So a run down of what we get to do in 4 days.
  • Ride the highest train in the world!
  • Reach ALMOST the top of the world in one of the highest cities in the world, Lhasa
  • Visit the Highest Monastery in the World
  • Visit the Highest Hot Springs in the World
  • Have some of the greatest experiences in the WORLD!
Don't worry! I plan on taking pictures, pictures and more pictures!

With all that said we only have 3 weeks left of teaching classes. We have our lesson plans ready to go and it's all downhill from here. We will leave here on the 28th of June at 10:30am and reaching home at 8:50pm. Not bad for a single day of travel!

In the past week we got our own Cupping Therapy kit and the boys had to give it a try. They enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again.
1st Time cupping
We explored more around us and it was a little tricky but we found a way to a Christian Church that is viewable from our apartment. To the church and back we walked about 4 miles. But we got to see some beautiful things hidden in our city.

Making our way to the church, getting closer.

The path we took to the church through some gardens.

Not sure what kind of "field" or crop this is. We think it's Lotus.
In front of the church. It was big and beautiful, not sure it is used though. We were fortunate that someone let us through and take a tour, it's pretty empty.

That is a Bullet Train pulling into town and this is a view from the roof of the church.

Another view from the top of the church. our building is the one in the distance in the middle of the picture. I liked the view of the farming fields too. It was pretty cool.
