Just a week in China

This week was pretty uneventful. Just teaching our classes in the evening and enjoying the kids and our friends that we work with. The biggest change this week is the new style of hair that Jami ventured and took a chance at....a Perm!!! With language communication being an obstacle it really is a scary adventure. This so called adventure turned out really well and Jami looks great! As you can see
This week we also went to Chuzhou, just a little bus ride away and we met up with some friends teaching in that area for lunch.

Found a good bbq place!
Ev and I had some fried bananas! yummm!

Elijah was excited to get some chicken feet.
He shared with Ethan and Sean
We also had some freshly made fried rice. While the guy was making it we saw him put in some salt, some pepper and then some other powder like substance. I told Jami "I bet it was MSG!"....we asked him what it was and he gave us the Chinese word. Later we asked Bruce what it was. I was right! it was MSG! hahahaha!

Like I said, not much happened this week. So I thought I would share some funny signs that we have seen and taken some pictures of.

Happy Hallween!

This sign was a menu item...
Scalloped what? hum....no thanks...I edited it for younger viewers!
This next picture is from a Hotel Lobby in Xian. Fire what ?
When she is hot use this!
This is going up a ramp like escalator. Sorry you can't see it well....it says in black "Caution, slips"
In yellow "Stand firm; Hold handrail"
Who says China hasn't heard of Lehi's dream? (For those of you not Mormon ask a Mormon....we have a set of  friends in your area that can come tell you too!)
