Only 15 years of Eternity! Time flies!

This was a good week! It was our 15 Year Anniversary! Every 5 years we do a big vacation to celebrate. This year we took it early and went on a Family Cruise with my parents in February. It was good times! ALSO....you can't beat being in China right? It's been a great 15 years. Here's what Jami and I did on our day.
1st it was gift time! One thing we have found that you can't find here are our favorite chocolate trips and shipping them from the US is stupid expensive. I went to Bruce and him and his wife were able to find and order some from what is called Taobao! Our HEROS!
What a treat! One little bag can bring so much joy to a family!
2nd we went to the Market to get some shopping done at a leisurely pace. It was busy, busy, busy in the morning. A lot of things were going as far as things being received and shipped by almost all the shops. In all we spent just over 4 hours shopping. If you know Jami and I you know that we are NOT Shoppers.

Busy morning at the Market
We also went to another market that we had found a while back and looked for some things. In all we walked away with 4 items. So not a very successful shopping trip but great company!
3rd we took a ride back to close to our place in a little 3 wheeled bicycle cart.

A ride with my sweetheart!

4th and 5th.....it was time to spoil ourselves a little....It starts off with a foot massage.
A couples massage after a long shopping trip.
While getting a 60 minute foot massage (the massage also includes a shoulder and back massage) I noticed that they had Cupping cups. We have wanted to try that so we decided to do it. So here is how it works...
They spray a flammable substance into the cup and light it...

The flame goes out fast and as it cools it creates a suction...

The cups are placed on the 5 meridians (Qi (chi)) lines of the back...
Jami did it as well. A couples Cupping session

After about 10 min they are removed and you have the bruise like circles.

One more cup to remove for Jami.
Cupping is an Ancient method of treatment that is supposed to release toxins from the body and help with relaxation and soothing of muscles. It's been recorded to have been used since 1500 B.C. It treats tissue up to 4 inches deep. It does hurt a little at 1st, it feels like being stung like a bee but quickly goes away; then while relaxing for 10 minutes before being removed you really can't feel it. Jami was super relaxed, it was more relaxing than the massage. My back is itching a little bit, but the bruises don't hurt, just looks bad. We will definitely do it again! Especially cause the price was so good, 20 RMB (roughly $3.30 US)

Last but not least...After our class we took the boys to our favorite clam place! Spicy clams and BBQ Toast! YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
Really? Me? Clams? Yep! I like 'em!
