Market Mayhem and a bang bang time!

This week we needed to do a little bit of clothes shopping. When we asked Bruce (our boss and friend) the best place to go he said "The Wholesale Market". We inquired what can we get there and he replied "Everything and anything!"Let just say he was not kidding. It was quite the shopping trip and was less than a 10 min bus ride from our place.
View as you enter the market
There are shops EVERYWHERE! You can go into the buildings on either side and there are shops/stores in the buildings anywhere from 2 to 3 floors.

The stores are so crammed into the buildings that you really have just a single aisle to maneuver through.

This is a hat store...one of several!
It may look like chaos but it is relatively organized. You have the hat section like above and you can get anything from hand made wool knit hats to baseball caps to fedoras to other rain gears like umbrellas and other things needed for inclement weather. You then have the section below the fabric section. You can get yarn, thread, hand made clothing and any other items needed for sewing. The list goes on and on...shoes....pants....shirts...socks.....school and business supplies....cooking ware...bedding and other things that we didn't even get to go see.
This is the fabric section.
Another fun thing that we saw this week was some firecrackers going off for a Grand Opening of a business. This is the thing to do in China. Whenever there is a wedding or an opening of a business they light off firecrackers and not just a little. They do rolls and bundles at a time. You hear them all the time. This is the 1st time we walked by and we got them as they were lighting them! They boys were pumped! Why fireworks? It scares off all the bad and evil spirits.

As far as the classes and work...things are going good. We are trying to do more Role Playing and having the kids speak the roles of a particular show that they like. It works really well and the kids love it!
