We took our family trip this year to Utah for 1 week and hit the McQuivey Family Reunion in Manti, then headed to Colorado where we were able to visit more family and Friends. We had a super great time with everyone and it was so fun to see everybody that we could. We took so many pictures, I don't want to bore everyone reading this with too many pictures. Here is a great sampling of what we did.......

We took the boys, with Aunt Jodi and Kara to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. That was fun and we got to see and play on all sorts of things, very educational. Above was the "Big Map", we love maps! Below are the Boys and their lil cousin Kara dressed up as Heroes.......I like the saying!

After a couple days in Ogden/Roy, we got to head down to Manti. Funny Story.....heading down to Manti.....so my mom had a great idea of leaving at 4am (that's early in the morning) to head down to Manti....a 3 hour tour......a 3 hour tour.......Well about 30-60 min into it we had to pull off and park in a Smiths parking lot cause my dad's alternator went out, easy enough to take out and fix right ? Sure was......problem was it was about 5am........nothing opens until 7:30......we had a good time playing in the parking lot and some even napped. After getting the alternator changed out.........we were on our way again.......by the time we rolled into Manti our 3 hour tour had turned into a 7 1/2 hour tour. Good memories that's for sure!

Of course there is the ATV'ing that we did while there. What a great time the boys had. We sure had fun with everyone there. I will put more pictures on my Facebook albums, once I figure that out.

And what ATV trip is complete without MUD!? We had to ride far and hard to find it.......but we found it! Sorry grandpa for the mess...hope grandma cleaned it up well when you got home. ;o)
Next we headed to Colorado, our former place of residence and where we still have great family and Friends. When we got there we had a family picnic up in Northglenn with the Jensen's, Browns and the Harrison's. We were there for hours catching up, playing and have a great time.
Lara brought her face painting kit and painted all the kids' face. She does an exceptional job, what a talent! (more pics of the faces will be on my facebook albums....again when I figure that out)
Below is Aubrey, Jocelyn and Spencer have fun getting some food on.
Jami serving up some food and loving the company. It was a great spread.
We went and spent time with Jami's Dad Ricco and his lovely family up in Evergreen. It was fun catching up with them and seeing how they are growing. (left to right- Jami, Jan, Kelsey, Makayla)
Here is Jami and her Dad Ricco. Great guy and fun to talk to and catch up with.
Here are some videos of the boys and them playing at Ricco's and being daring! Of course a little encouragement from me helped. Boys will be boys!
Our ever safe and cautious Elijah........
And last but certainly not least and not about to get left behind.......Everest........
In total we traveled a little over 3200 miles and spent a couple days (counting the 17 hour drive to UT, the 7 hour drive to Denver from Manti, the 12 hour drive home from Denver and the other countless hours driving from location to location)....but all well worth it! I will update the blog in a couple of days with some exciting news that we got some pictures of.......so till then......we bid all our Friends and Family adiou!
