Yongzhou

To catch you up on a word that I used in the last post, "Hutong". It is a neighborhood of shops, almost like the Pearl Street Mall or The 16th street Mall, but more alley's and little knick knack shops. Here's a picture of the crowds that they draw.
A popular Hutong in Beijing. It's fun to walk through...just got to go with the crowd.

So we have been here for just over a week and are liking the "new" job and the people/students that we encounter every day!

We love the schedule! So much better than before! We love our FAO! SOOOO Much better than before! IF we had been placed here when we 1st got to China there would be a good chance that we would be extending our time, but how it stands we will be finishing in July.

Here are some pictures that we have taken while we spent a day exploring and being with our new students. AND there is a little "garden" that we live close by and we wandered through it and the people there tending it gave us some onions and garlic freshly pulled from the garden. Everest even picked up a new pet!

Some nice neighbors that shared their harvest

One of my classes full of students

Having a good time doing our activity

Down by the river...it was actually really clean and beautiful!

Family Selfie!

A good shoe cleaning! I haven't done this since my mission...oh....almost 20 years ago!

If our goldfish dies now.....you can just eat it! No more flushing down the toilet!

Another class having fun competing!

Not only class lessons but we get a crowd and have got a following of kids that want to play and learn American Football! Almost everyone has NOT seen or held a football before.
