'Tis the season!

To bring in this week we had a Pearl Harbor night. Every Year for several years now we have made it a tradition that on December 7th we remember those that lost their lives at Pearl Harbor by having a movie night. It really is a great show.

 Earlier this week we had a Reading Contest with most of our students. We have been working on reading short books and singing chants. To show the the parents what they have been learning the school had a contest. Another Foreigner (English Teacher) and us were the judges.  We all had a good time and the students and parents seemed to enjoy themselves.

This is Lucy and Lucy! They teach Elijah Chinese and are some of our better English speakers. Very bright Girls!

Group 2 had some of the older students...they were ready to rumble!

As many of you know and some don't....it was opening weekend of deer hunting (shotgun season) this last weekend in Iowa. I missed getting to go out with the Raskies and have a good successful time with them. So since I am in China I was able to find a location where I could sit and get me some good 'ol deer hutin' in. We walk past these "deer" overtime we are heading to the Kindergarten class. I couldn't just pass 'em up this week!

It was high time we got the boys hair cut as well. Elijah decided he wanted to do something a little different and tried to color his hair, or the tips of it anyway.

After all was said and done it turned out really well.

While we are still preparing for Christmas we had some friends (also Foreign English teachers) over to make Christmas bags (good luck finding stockings to hang for Santas visit)

 Not only are WE getting ready for Christmas but some of the dogs are getting together with their friends for play dates and dressing up!

HO HO HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS! We were digging the gloves on the paws!
