How time flies when you're having fun!

Sorry that we've been slacking on the site. There really are lots of excuses but who wants to hear those right?

So since the last time we have updated we have had Christmas, The New Year, Jami's Birthday and Hunting Season! I'll try to give an update or touch on all that, but don't want the reading to daunting.

Christmas! What a great day of Celebration of our Saviors Birth! We had a nice relaxing time at home, just as our little family. It was really enjoyable and there was no fighting....AMAZING! We got a web cam and got to play Wii and talk with Grandpa and Grandma McQuivey, Jodi and Curt, we had a lot of fun with our new technology. Here are some pics with the boys and their new pj's.

Of course the boys has Christmas Break and we had snow/ice. Here's a little bit of a video of them having a good time right in the back. For the big hill we have to walk a little ways, and boy was it cold, so we didn't venture to far from the house. One day this last month our high was a -4! Yep, that's right our high was a negative brrrrrrr. I can say that we miss the CO sunshine!

Then there is the deer hunting season. We live in some pretty good Deer country.......in fact just last night I looked out the window and there were 3 doe (female deer) about 25 yards from the house just grazing behind the fence. Too bad it's not hunting season anymore, or I could have had some more meat in the freezer. I have 2 deer in there now, processed of course. Here's a picture of one other deer I got, a 7 point buck, about a small to medium size white tail for IA. The deer meat here is really good, it isn't gamy like the CO or UT Deer that we've had in the past. Jami and the boys love it, that's all we use when cooking something that requires beef now.

When I got this deer I was walking to the tree stand that is set up just by where the truck is in the background, I wasn't out of the house for more than 5-10 minutes and 7 deer ran across the field and I was able to get one. Pretty nice that I didn't have to drive a couple of hours and stay the night or anything, pretty much right in the back yard! I LOVE IT! ( I whited out the blood for those with queezy stomachs)

New Years came and went......we didn't do anything, we are a bunch of fuddy duddies....but that is alright with me, that's why I like the country life. Now January hold a special place in my heart! (by the way this is Jared updating all this) January 24th is Jami's Birthday!! YIPEEEE, she turned a beautiful, young, vivacious 30 this year! and for her Present/our 1o year anniversary (which is in Oct) I gave her the gift of a Eastern Caribbean Cruise in April of this year! I had been working on planning and paying for it since Sep all without her knowledge! It was killing me not to tell her, so that was the big thing she got. We had a good celebration with some Friends and family, it was an enjoyable time.

Lastly, I thought this was a great picture that we took one day coming home from town. Even the Amish have "car" troubles. We would have stopped and helped, but there was no one in site, probably un-hitched the horse and went to the gas station! Just kidding about the gas station!

There, I'm finally done updating the blog. Hope you all enjoy and keep on keeping in touch.

The whited out blood is too funny. I just checked your blog two days ago and was pretty peeved that you hadn't updated it for so long, so THANK YOU! I need to call Jami to update her on our renting the house. It's crazy!
