Hillbilly Heaven!!!

So...Elijah's "Grandpaw" is a hunter. He loves to catch him some coons. It's pretty neat, actually. We give Steve a hard time but he breeds and raises dogs for coon huntin' and then sells the pelts. Well, Elijah turned 8 in October and is now of coon-huntin' age. Here they are getting ready for the night...yeah, it's a night thing...

Here Lijah is showing off the first coon of his huntin' career. Now if this isn't a little hillbilly I don't know what is. It sure was fun for him though.

For Thanksgiving we went out to visit my Dad, Jan and my brothers and sisters. Here we are on the mountain searching out the Christmas tree. From the left it's Gina, Makayla, Anthony, Ethan, Jared, Everest, Ricco and Elijah. Kelsey and Jan were at home...warm. IT was fun and COLD!!

It's Snowing in Iowa right now and since the bus doesn't drop the boys of, from school, 'til 4:30pm we have to adjust our snow playing times. After homework and dinner they went out with Jared and finished the snowman!!! Fun times!!!
