Yeah for school!!!!

Here we go again. Another year of early mornings and new adventures in learning. This year Ethan started Kindergarten. He goes ALL day EVERY day. He loves it. His teacher is awesome. He rides the bus with Lijah. Here is the traditional "first day of school" picture. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa McQuivey for the outfit.
Next is Lijah on his way to second grade. Boy was he ready. I went through a time this summer where I had an emotional "to do" about not wanting them to go to school. That was quickly remedied with fighting and boredom. Now...yeah for me!!!!

Well Monday and Tuesday were half days so Jared and I took the boys fishin' down at the pond Tuesday evening. That is when "IT" happened. The fish weren't bitin' and the boys got bored. They went to look for frogs under an old boat. Lijah picked up the boat and, it what seemed like slow motion, started to lose his balance as the boat decided to keep going. He stepped forward to steady himself (placing his foot on the lower rim of the boat). He let go of the boat and it flipped him backward. I watched, praying that the scream that followed was one of anger NOT hurt. Then...he got up and ran toward me with his arm flopping. FYI: Flopping is NEVER good. We hurried him to the ER where they confirmed a broken arm. Yep, he got out of the 1st full day of school. Here's a pic of him semi-stoned. Poor guy...he's been such a great sport though.

Now Ev is on vacation. No brothers to torment or be tormented by. What are we going to do? Here he is...chillin'...watchin' the tube...He reminds me of Jared. Thank goodness our neighbor has horses and chickens and wants us to come over. I don't know what I'm going to do with only one. It's been too long and he's so darn independent. Any ideas email me...Please.
