5th of July FUN!!!

Here are some fun pics of our back pond 5th of July fishin'. Yes, that is a BIG catfish. The boys get so excited doing this yucky stuff. Echo, the dog eats the fish 'cause none of the guys like fish...but they fish all of the time!?!?!? Zack's head is cut off...he's camera shy!!!

Another View of our pond. The neighbors say you can swim in it. I told them that unless it has a cement floor and a sizeable amout of clorine in it, I'll pass...with the exception of nice, warm, shark free beaches...very close to shore.

Here are our fireworks pics. Apparently, Jared has decided that 3,5,7 years old is plenty old enough to light your own fireworks. By next summer they'll be driving and huntin' food on their own. We're phasing ourselves out::wink::

Here's my Idea of appropriate fireworks for my children...sparklers. Jared's Idea...screaming rattlers and mini bombs. Hmmmm?!?!?..another testament as to the importance of mothers.

The boys' found a SNAPPING turtle and wanted to keep it as a pet. Hey, all of you cityfolk who complain that your kids do this...I get snapping turtles, ducks and moles. Yay, me!!! I should get an award for Best Supportive Role in "My own back Yard" ...aires EVERYDAY!!!!

That is hilarious!! Fireworks scare me! Tom would let them do it themselves if I wasn't around!! Glad they have wives! I am so glad I haven't found anything roaming around my yard!! Tell the boys and Jared, we all say HI!!!!

Ha, ha! Jamie--you've got to know you're totally in for the greatest ride, having a bunch of boys. :o) My boy/girls do the same thing, only I think I'd rather have an ant farm or inchworms compared to snapping turtles or moles! Enjoy the pests...I mean pets!
